London Storage

The textile furniture series London consists of a wardrobe, a cabinet as well as a bag-like storage object.

Commonly used storage facilities for clothes are mostly made of heavy and thick-walled materials like wood or press board. However, the walls of a storage object only serve as a protectionagainst dust and generally do not need any static features. For this reason the series “London” makes use of textile materials.

By means of a framework made of metal sticks the fabric protect the clothes from dirt to the same extent, but they make the furniture more lightweight and mobile. Additionally the textile material facilitates entirely different applications, both in the construction of the furniture as well as in its surface design.

Hybrid Cabinet – for ROCHE BOBOIS

Hybrid Cabinet oscillates between storage object and display case. A finely woven metal mesh from brass or blackened steel unites the properties of cloth and metal, while at the same time being transparent. This distinctive material suggests a re-thinking of common glass or acrylic cabinets.

The cabinets won the Roche Bobois Design Competition-2015 and are now distributed in a special limited edition.

Spectrum Lamp

Light appears to us as white light. But it is more a tangle of all colours, which are imperceptible to us. This lamp allows the light to unfold. By separating the light into a fan of spectral colour, it yields the light’s inherent beauty.

Interferences are physical phenomena known from opalescence stones, shells, feathers or rainbows. Orientated on this optical status Spectrum lamp diffracts white light into a interference pattern.
